Twitch Username vs Display Name
Twitch has two name fields: Username (letters, numbers, underscores — shown in URLs) and Display Name (supports Unicode — shown to viewers). This tool creates styled text for your display name.
Twitch Username Rules
Usernames: 4-25 characters, letters/numbers/underscores only. Display names: can include Unicode characters — this is where styling makes an impact.
How to Change Your Twitch Display Name
- Go to twitch.tv and log in
- Click your profile icon → Settings
- Under Profile, edit "Display Name"
- Paste your styled name from this tool
- Save changes
Does Twitch support Unicode in display names?
Yes. Twitch display names support a wide range of Unicode characters. Bold, italic, and script styles all work.
Will my styled name show in chat?
Yes. Your display name appears in chat, on your channel page, and when other streamers mention you.
