Minionese is a fictional language from the Despicable Me franchise. It is a mix of real languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and more) combined with gibberish sounds. The language was created by Illumination Entertainment and linguist consultants for the films.
Is Minionese a real language?
Minionese is a constructed fictional language. Many of its words are borrowed from real languages: "Bello" from Italian, "Para tu" from Spanish, "Poulet tikka masala" is an actual British-Indian dish name.
